Stan Lanham started the company Lanhams Motor Garage Pty Ltd in 1937 when he took over the BMC Dealership, then known as Johnsons Garage. A few years down the track, Stan’s father Elias joined his son in the business, and started what is today known as Lanhams Motor Group.

In 1964, Stan’s son Garry joined the business as an apprentice motor mechanic, before moving into the sales department at the conclusion of his apprenticeship. Stan’s eldest son Trevor joined the business heading up the accounts department in 1969. It was during these years, that Lanhams Motor Group would go through major changes, and establish Lanhams Motor Group as both a Ford dealer, and an NRMA Country Service Centre. Trevor & Garry worked side by side for the next 35 years prior to Trevor’s retirement.

Garry’s son, Stuart always had a passion for the motor industry, and left Leeton to further his knowledge of the industry, before returning to Leeton in 2011 to join Lanhams Motor Group, and take over the Dealer Principal role in 2015.

Lanhams Motor Group has enjoyed incredible growth over the years and this has largely due to the excellent staff employed by the company.

A true customer-oriented organization that truly cares about the motoring needs of the general public. This organisation has grown from small beginnings to become one of the longest running family owned dealerships in Australia.

In January 2018 Stuart & Garry purchased Keith Gill Motors in Griffith and now proudly run 2 locations.
